Volunteer consultants in the TNPR system offer their expertise to volunteer organizations that have requested their assistance. The design of the request system is based on the Question & Answer model and is not designed for long-term volunteer placements with an organization. Instead the focus of the program is on the provision of one-time responses to queries or short-term volunteer consultations.

Organizations registered with TNPR have the opportunity to send requests to qualified consultants for short-term assistance with a problem or issue. The specific skills or areas of expertise requested are cross-referenced against the consultant profiles before the request is sent to a consultant, ensuring that the most qualified consultant is notified.

Administrators at TOTAL Non Profit Resources are members of the TNPR staff team. In addition to overseeing the site's content, administrators are responsible for authorizing consultants, assisting system users, and monitoring and facilitating the interactions between consultants and organizations.
